ULTRAFLOWS

Some want a certain volume, others efficiency...

For a nice balance, lots of folks choose the Walker UltraFlows. :)

pending on what your looking to spend their is a few options.

Hooker makes a 2.5 cat back system for the G-Body with 2 Mufflers. I think they are called Ultra Flows.

the whole Kit runs roughly $260 bucks and you can check it out from www.summitracing.com or jegs.com

Its is about as loud as the Stocker setup, maybe a tad bit louder!

you can also check out AtR, they make some sweet exhaust kits but they arent cheap.
I think the stainless dual exhaust kit is like $700 bucks

I had a single Shot ATr exhaust and it was louder then my Hooker Duals

My car is seasonal so i opted for not buying stainless

Has anyone tried SE turbo performance's 2 3/4" duals with bullit muffs?

Trying to decide between that and torque tech's........

i have the 3" torque tech system and love it. it has 2 chamber flowmasters with it. It sounds awesome but supposedly the flowmasters dont flow good on turbo cars. I disagree tho, on my car atleast. My cars runs sooo much faster when the dump pipe is closed and everything flows thru the flows. When the dump is open it feels much slower(but sounds awesome!)

i really dont think you can go wrong no matter what u do. It really depends on how much $$ u got

I think the flows got an undeserved bad rep early on. They are supposed to help with cylinder scavenging but the turbo pretty much eliminates that effect. Even so, they flow good and sound awesome.

I would go with any straight through muffler. I love the sound of my ATR pitbull exhaust. The aluminzed ATR mufflers have a bit more rumble than the stainless but the stainless seem to let more turbo whistle out of the exhaust. The turbo muffles the exhaust a lot over a NA car so it's not that loud. No exhaust system I've heard is very loud with the stock turbo. With my T-64 and the ATR 2.5" people will turn to look at the car but it's still quieter than most cars with a performance exhaust. On my dad's stageII car the exact same exhaust rattles the cabinets in the kitchen when it's fired up. What I'm trying to say is with a nearly stock motor you really can't go wrong with anything on the market but it makes sense to get a straight through muffler for best flow.

you guys all suck, the best muffler for a turbo car is...

NO MUFFLER!!!
:D

True! I ran mine when it was nearly stock with the ATR exhaust with straight pipes in place of the mufflers. Sounded pretty good. Later on I tried the same thing with the T-64 and put the mufflers back on within an hour. The car didn't have a deep sound, it was annoying and raspy, kind of reminded me of a Honda. What was pretty interesting is it was barely any louder with no mufflers. They mostly just changed the tone and made it sound better but not much quieter. My dad's stage II car runs though the ATR mufflers but it exits at the mufflers, no tailpipes due to clearance issues with the Wolfe bar. It's as loud as an open downpipe car but when it had tailpipes it was pretty quiet.
