I hate spots on my carpet! I'm going to buy a steam cleaner. Looking for the best cleaners to use. Does anyone have any advice, or what products work to best? Best spot removers???
Thanks:confused:

I've repeatedly used a product called Tuff Stuff in a red and yellow spray can. Works great made for fabric, carpret and vinyl. Took dried coke stains out of my grandfathers gray carpet and tan carpet in my beemer from previous owner, worked great. Cleaned up door panels and seats on my GN which weren't very dirty but made them look like new. I need to get another can.

Also recently tried soem oxy blast or kick or something, will get the name later, that stuff was a dual spray can that combined the contents when sprayed. It removed black grease spots from the house beige carpet that somehow dropped from my desk chair better than enything I've ever seen before.

OK, the 2 can spray product is made by Bissell and is called Oxy Kic carpet spot and stain remover. Its 2 silver alum bottles w/ a plastic label wrapped around both and a big dual can spray top setup. Like I said, it removed grease from carpt like no tomorrow. I tried some spray Resolv on another spot and it was no competition at all to the Kic. It lists red wine, cola, ink, motor oil among others that it cleans.
Think it was purchased at Walmart or Target not sure, any place that sells Bissell vacuums should have it. I never believed all the oxy stuff out there but this is the poop.
HTH.

You guys are gonna laugh at me for this one, but for some strange reason - IT WORKED!

Had the carpets in my new place professionally cleaned over the summer. $500 and he didn't get all the stains out. The people who lived here before me had a pair of 2-year olds.

Here's what my cousin did:

She took a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and splashed it on the rough green side of a sponge. Rubbed the stain, let it dry over night, vacuum the next day. Stains were gone. A couple stingy ones needed a second hit, but they have since been removed as well.

It did take a little time (getting on your hands and knees and actually scrubbing with a sponge) but it was cheap (~$2) and effective.

2 thumbs up on the Tuff Stuff. It works great and leaves behind nothing but a pleasant scent...

Hands down Brake clean. You can get it at Pep Boys, be careful the smell will kill you. Been using it for years. Grease, fruit juice anything. Use just a little on a rag and scrub, comes out. Do not use to much, it will take the color out the rug.

I second brake clean or SCUBS towels in the bucket, the ones that smell like oranges.

Lifter 1

I have had great results Lifter 1 carpet stain remover,

removed tar that was a couple yrs old on a car I bought, removes grease ink etc. works awesome

works for me too:)

I thought I was the only one that used Tuff Stuff.

Started using it on my old truck when I'd come back from camping and it'd be covered in mud stains. Cleaned it ALL up. I use it in the GN, the Trailblazer...

I got my parents using it in the house.. they have off-white carpets... gets everything up, no sweat.

of course

John deere carpet cleaner, best around. If you want to try a can i will ups one to you.

Tuff stuff rocks, I have always had good luck with this product! :D

Nope, been using that Stuff for years :D

It does work great, and I'd definitely try using it before trying brake cleaner. If you happen to strip the color out of your carpet, your ain't putting it back :D

and when all of you guys use the majic stuff and carb cleaner ect & then call a professional and they tell you your carpet is ruined do you tell them that you sprayed all of this crap on it ? one of you paid 500 bux and they couldnt get all of the stains out ? sounds like the cleaner was an idiot!!!!!! not educated..........or just wanted your money. or was it in places that you used majic solutions? what kind of carpet do you have ? nylon, olefin, polyester? please doont say berber as that is a weave not the material.
