Anyone get into the 1.4's on a drag radial? Im curious to see how hard some of you TR guys have left on drag radials. Not intrested in other cars. Just Buicks.

1.680 this year in Vegas, did it twice, the best for me, it had to be the prep of the track, here in Boise my best was 1.78 and usually
in the 1.8's. 275-60-15's

Unfortunatly, I'm still in the low 1.5's. I was chasing other problems, so, still don't have the 8 second timeslip, either.

I went a 1.67 with the 255/16`s.Left with no boost, anything more would blow the tires away.I have the PTS extreme conv. With my old 275/50/15`s,I went a 1.61

Were your 1.5's with a 315/60/15?

I have done them with both the 325's an the 315's. Suprisingly, I hook more consistantly with the smaller 325's

Cal,

Will you be running any of the drag radial events next year.
What about the NMCA???

sydwyndr: You sure about that tire size? I have never seen a 315/50 before in a BFG

John: I will definitly be running some DR events. As far as NMCA, I have to look at the rules. It looks like I may be legal for the NMCA DR class. If so, I will run some of the local events.

I dunno if it's just me or what, but the best I could get out of mine was a 1.808. I think it's because I can't get enough tire under the car (I'm willing to accept that it may be operator error, too). They are 275/60s. I switched to Hoosier QTPs for next season.

You are correct. My earlier post stated 315/50/15 but they dont have that size. They have a 315/60/15 which is 29.8" tall.

The 325/50/15 is 27.9" tall. Maybe thats what he was referring to.
