Where are the final rules at?
Here's the rules.
Class is for the Turbo Regal or 1989 Turbo Trans Am

2) Car must weigh 3450 with driver iron heads or 3550
with driver aluminum heads.

3) Any tire combination allowed up to a 29x10 size.

4) Car must be registered and insured as it will need
to be driven to the host gas station for fill-up.

The Quick 8 will be then run on a protree format.

Those racers not meeting the eligibilty of the Quick 8

2 qualifying runs, run 2 more rounds and the score

reaction times will be used to designate a winner.

Peer tech and fill up will be done at a host gas
station Friday May16th in the AM. Weight will be
checked after every round.

Let me know if i've something,

Looks like all those that will be participating.. we need to get together at the track Thursday to get in-sync for Friday AM.

PLEASE READ THIS.. "DO NOT SHOW UP WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS FRIDAY MORNING.. THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFY" You need to fit 10 gallons of 93.. no ifs.. no ands.. no buts..

At this point.. if you are going to be racing.. I need you to send me your name and phone number. Would be great to have a list that way when schedules change.. things happen.. I have a way to get in touch with everyone. Use the PM or email me at idoxlr8_70@yahoo.com

I'll work on the sponsor $$$ this week, and get that squared away.

I will be..

Julio, I completely understand and agree with the 10 gallon rule, but as you and JD both know the TTA's only have a 15 gallon tank. I have half a tank right now and plan on racing friday and driving around that night on that tank. I really do not feel comfortable racing on E as to avoid fuel starvation. I guess I can just siphon at the pump??

I think you will be fine if you have 4/5 gallons on fri morning then add 10 = 14/15 only 2 passes on fri not even a gallon, drive around fri nite race on sat probably have at least 10 gallons left for sat unless your car only gets 5 miles to the gallon.

you should be fine

thanks JD

Wake up a little early Friday AM and drive around burning up some fuel. You wont have any trouble. The racing will be Friday. Meaning you need to fillup Friday AM at the gas station. That way you'll have a full tank to race all day Friday and hopefully Saturday.

Cool :D

Wait what? The racing is friday now? What a pain. The car show is friday as well and I was planning on doing the car show that morning. (I guess I didn't read the rules very well or something..not blaming you)

Gah this is not working out. I thought I had it planned out.

Can you send me a schedule or something? I am not racing in a class if I have no test and tune passes. Unless the qualifying is later in the day. In that case it would work. I guess i'll just siphon before I leave. Getting there at 2 am then going for a joyride the next morning wont be high on my agenda

Sorry to be a PITA!

Jason

Jason and everyone else worried about the ten gallon rule.

If you feel you have too much fuel, just drain it out via fuel rail schrader valve, then after the race, put the gas back in and be worry free! Just bring an extra 5 gallon jug with ya.

Oh ya, I WONT be in :( :( I will be at BG though! I'll be watching the TAI class for sure.

See you ALL there!

Adam

I will race in the class I just need to get my plans figured out. Just let me know what time and what gas station I need to be at and I will make it work.

Tentatively.. weather permitting.. Chevron gas station next to the Motel6. I dont know if the Chevron currently has the 10% ethanol crap.. if it doesnt then it will be the host station. Do an 8:00 fillup and gas cap seal  .. Peer inspection will also be done there :D

Got Mo Money..

Would like to thank Chris Kober aka chrisk from Turbo Trans AM.Com for donating 200.00 torwards the class....
