BGC 3" elbow puck binding

Do you mean it is not covering the wastegate hole flat and is cocking and getting stuck. If that is your problem I got an external E clip and put it on the end of the shaft behind the pivoting arm to take the play out of the puck, and hold it tight on the arm. So when it goes to close it covers the wastegate hole flat. Does that make sence?

That happened to me too. It wouldn't close the same way consistently. Had to grind off the puck and reweld a new washer on the spindle end of the puck. Half of the original washer was missing so it would cock sideways occasionally.
Thanks for your replies guys. No I think my shaft is binding in an open possition so that the wastegate cannot limit the boost. I have had it apart twice and have not figured out why or what is causing it to stick open. Last time I lubed it all with 1500 degree anti seize stuff which alowed me to use proper boost about three times before it all melted or liquified enough to run out.
Tarey we have a similar combo have you had it to the track yet? Indy & Columbus huh any good TR shops in either city? Dayton does not have any shops that I know of that knows how to work on modified TRs.

Does the linkage thingy where your actuator rod connects to rub or catch on the outside of the elbow?Mine did and I took some sand paper and sanded the flat area on the outside of the elbow where the linkage moves back and forth and that freed mine up.
No I haven't run my car yet. Wanted to trailer it to BG and run it but had a problem with my Suburb, and just drove the GN to the nats and played spectator. Gonna race it at the Norwalk test and tune coming up in a month or so. There are a couple of knowledgeable buick guys in Dayton. Bruce is one, look him up in members and E mail him with any questions that you might have. If the arm of the puck is binding in the exhaust elbow you might have to grind the weld off of the arm and take it out and rum a drill thru the hole to clean it out and put it back in there and have it rewelded.
