I shipped John Craig, Chopper, and the gang, a .63 Garrett exhaust housing off a customers turbo. The turbo was recently built by a local company that lets just say...

(4) days after I sent them the housing via UPS ground from Charlotte to AZ they called to say it was done and boxed for shipment. I didn't even think they would have it yet, let alone be done with it!! It showed up today!!

They cleaned it to new condition, machined the downpipe face like I needed, re-surfaced the header face, ported the wastegate hole, installed new studs and nuts, etc., etc... Oh, and the price...

I had a similar occurance years ago. Bought a new TA49 from Red A, after a few months found lots of oil in the IC...Red wanted absolutely nothing to do with it despite me buying lots of stuff from him. Sent it to John at Limit and a few days later what looked like a new turbo showed up...with no charge.

Another much more recent deal involving my TE-45a has me convinced that John is a genuine good guy.

havent delt with John Craig in a long time. Glad to see he is still doing great work and taking care of people

That local company wouldnt have been "the turbo exchange" would it?

Yes... But I will say that I've used Andre' for some simple things in the past with no issues. But I don't/won't use them for any builds.

Thats sad to hear. when I was up in NC my car had a mysterious oil smoking problem. Glenn and Andre helped me out tremendously. I think they went through my turbo(stage 3 cheetah at the time) Several times thinking it was something wrong with it. I dropped it off one morning at 3 am and had it by noon. Never charged me more than the original job cost. Turned out to be an engine with alot of cylinder leakage. Rering engine and all was well. Anyway good hearing from you keith. Jermey walters

Jeremy, the issues I've dealt with on the turbos that Turbo Exchange has had their hands on isn't in their workmanship. I think they are very well crafted in their field. However... They are not up to speed on building/spec'ing a performance turbo for our applications.
