It has a K&N Filter on the breather. I would say the Billet piece is about 2 inches tall.

I have not seen the one JC sells. The filter is about an inch tall and 2.5 inches wide. It is in like new condition.

I would like this but I need to check how tall of one I can have that will clear my air intake tube on my hotair car.

I have not seen an 85, but on the 86/87, this does not even come close to being as highh as the intake. Plus it is angled a little sideways out of the valve cover. Let me know by tomorrow what you want to do.

See on the 85's the air intake goes to the back of the motor and the tube runs pretty close to the valve cover so I cant have anything that tall there or else it hits it and it wont work. I got one from postons and couldnt mount it because it hit the air tube. I will look and see ho much room I have. So its about 3 in tall right?

Just to make sure we are on the same page. This beather plugs into the oil fill hole of the drivers side valve cover. Is that where you are planning on putting it? It is probably 4-5 inches tall.

Yes we are on the same page its just that hot air cars are completely setup different as far as air intake than 86-87 if something comes straight out of the valve cover it hits the air intake and wont be able to mount. Thats why the oil fill necks on these cars come out and becd to go straight up. Thats the way they were designed to work on the hotair cars to keep from hitting the air intake tube. I think Im gonna pass because I measured and its only 3 in from the valve cover to the air intake.
