Have you tried the billet tensioner pulley you sell yet? I'm getting ready to buy a set of billet pulleys and was wondering if you had the same clearance issue as with the RJC?

Yes, same issue, a little time on the belt sander for clearance and all is good.

Like everyone else who miss out on this great unit, hoping Steve can make another run of this belt tensioner replacement and keeping the same price.

Honestly I have one left over I was trying to sell and three guys have "bought it" and never followed through.
I am plan to contact the manufacturer and get minimum order requirements and pricing for units without pulleys as many aftermarket pulleys are popular.
There are some suggested minor changes like clearance to pulley increase and a stainless nut and stud set up for the pulley I would like to see happen.
Then I would like to attend a few of the events coming up and allow people to hold one in their hand and be able to sign up to order one not everyone is computer savy and visits the TB site.

Not to start an issue or anything, but im 24, 23 when I purchased the billet tensioner. I am most certainly blue collar, living at home, no girlfriend and managed to buy it.

What I've noticed, when it comes to this classic car or others (even older), is you need money tp get what you want when you want for these cars. It is not easy at all to keep these beauties on the road. Shit, some guys who have the money, after a while, lose interest after they break down soo much.

Dont fret. I remember thay Steve mentioned the manufacturer should have these in their product catalog after the run. Not sure what the price is or if they followed through with their promise or not.

Guys, if you haven't seen this, It may come as a shock to a lot of people. This is how much a belt tensioner really does move on a hard running engine. I think a lot of people think the tensioner moves just a little bit - but when you really put your foot into an engine - the tensioner really does work like hell to keep that belt on the pulleys. I think a new one like Steve is getting made up is probably going to be superior to even a NOS tensioner that is 25 years old.

That's not our engine though. I know an engine's an engine, but they're not all the same. I really like these tensioners though. Are they user serviceable? meaning, could I take one all the way apart for anodizing later down the road?

Not without voiding the warranty . What we can do is send an unassembled unit let you anodized it and ship it back to the manufacturer for them to assemble.
This way you retain your warranty. Otherwise it is fully serviceable if needed in an emergency.

I have 1 for sale right now it is the afore mentioned one where the individual could not make the 2nd payment. So I need to sell that and refund him his first deposit. Cost $467. + fees or sent as gift.

I wish I could man but I am tapped out right now. Gonna be a while till I can lay that kind of cash down on more car parts.
