What is your fuel pressure set at? I was having the same problem with the quad air chip plus my car stumbled off idle and was blowing black smoke. I spent hours at a time for like five months trying different parts, and looking for something wrong. I never found it. I finally tried a turbotweak chip and my car was like a different car. I got his chip set my fuel pressure to 43psi vac. line off and now my blm is usually around 125-128 at idle. His web site is TurboTweak.com Good luck

BL of 90 means the engine is running extremely rich and ECM is trying to pull fuel out. First check what your FP is, also make sure you MAF is working. Have you changed anything lately or did it just happen all of a sudden?

Thanks for the Help

It was set at 40 with the line off, then we thought we may need to add a little fuel. Still no change.(Guess that would make since it still stayed at 90) So I may need to back the fuel off. I have another streep, race chip I will put in. Otherwise I will get one from turbotweek. Im going to need one any way for the Alky when I put it in. I have been waiting to put it in, just wanted the car tuned just right before I put the alky in.
Thanks guys, will let you know the outcome.
Oh yeah, I wouldnt know if the maf and translator would make the difference, this is the first time really trying to tune by the scanmaster, car has been up and down, exhaust leak, brakes. So really this would be the first time tweeking it.

tell us what MAF is on the car, and what the settings in the translator are set to.

Tell us the numbers on the chips, and what injectors are in the car.

Bob

LS1 MAF, TRanslator with (6.22 handwritten cfg.)

My buddy also wanted to know do we do this with car in park at idle, and the temp warmed up, or actually while we are driving. As far as the settings. I believe they are just set to normal ( no lean or rich switch changed). I am trying to get ahold of my buddy who set them.

Most of this is in my sig. As far as the chip it is a Quad Air race chip.

O2 sensor on scanmaster showing 45

looked at the postons book and said this could be caused by using fuel additives. Swapped the 108 to a 107 street/race chip runs nice but just not beastly. Still getting 90, when i initially put the new chip in the BL was at 124 then dropped to 90 again. I would say it is probably the new O2 sensor. Any other suggestions would be great a well appreciated.

Dip switches should be 1on 2on 3on 4off

Turn maf base to 2 = 10% lean at idle.

Lower fuel a couple pounds and blm's should start coming up.

Thank you I will try it.

Checked the dip switches and my buddy set them the same as you are saying he just told me them wrong over the phone when I wrote this.

When I turned down my fuel ( static line off to 37 Mal code 45 went away). Do you know where I should set it at or just play with it till my BLs start coming up. They use to be stuck at 90, now I see them moving up to about 115 max, I believe I heard they should be at 125 so maybe I still need to turn my Fuel pressure down. Just got some 116 octane, made for the chip and it has awoke the beast ( NO Knock  )like when I first drove it. Some people are thinking I may have an exhaust leak, well when I first start it up I hear a slight slight leak, but not anymore after it has warmed up. I will try what you say and see where it goes.

New Chip

I would say you need a new chip. Gather as much info about your set up and get with Eric at turbo tweek and get a new chip. Thats what most of us run. Somthing is not right with your's.
You could keep adjusting fp, that will bring up blm's but your already lower than normal.
128 +/- 5 is the target
Just keep in mind low blm's means rich.
High blm's means lean.
So you can make adjustments acordingly. Making adjustments to translator will change blm's also.

Ok, I already emailed him one for a alky chip

But I will still try to lower the fuel to see if the BLs go up. Does Eric @ turbotweak usually take a while to get back to you. I emailed him my combo and have not heard from him. I probably should just call him.

It take a few day's sometimes but feel free to follow up.
Eric would not mind a phone call. He is a very nice guy.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Will Do.

My starter is freezing up, if it isnt one thing its another with these cars, the thing looks brand new. Had to bang on it and have one of my coworkers crank the ignition just to get home last night.
