I did the usual old school procedure on bleeding the brakes. Key off, start from farthest until closest wheel, and keep reservoir filled. Well after all this was completed, I turned the key and the powermaster went on and practically sucked the whole half of the reservoir down. IS this normal??? Also the brakes feel real soft and even in neutral, almost had to floor it to stop rolling down the driveway. Anyone have a documented correct procedure for this PM???

Did you pump the brakes 10 or more times with the key off before doing the brake bleed? If so what you just saw would be normal because once power is re-applied the accumulator will re-fill back up and draw down the resevoir. I find it easiest to just attach a clear vinyl piece of tubing to each bleeder one at a time and just let it bleed a pint or so watching for the fluid to become clear and bubble free. Do that and if you don't have any wear issues with your brakes and the PM is good you should get a good pedal.

Just out of curiousity, I know the big bubbles are an easy way to check. BUt I noticed while bleeding tons of very small microscopic bubbles. Is this normal?

I get tons of small bubbles on my cars when bleeding them.

They mostly go away if you bleed long enough.

Usually a lot of bubbly fluid in the reservoir too. :(

Prolly leaky seals.
