I need some new tires for my truck and really do not want to spend $150 a piece. I have heard some places sell blemished tires..Only blemishes like the lettering doesn't read out perfect not structural blemishes. Does anyone know of a place that sells them? Looking for size 255/70-16 specifically.

Thanks Jason

look at "Tire Rack"

just saw 255/70/16
Kumho were $85 ea
continentals were $87 ea
Generals were $85 ea
I have conti on my truck tread wear is Great!

I saw tire rack and really would like the Michelin LTX MS. My family has always had good luck with them 70-90k out of them but if I could save a few bucks it would be great. I'll look into to others brands.

Thanks Jason

Just keep in mind the tire is what connects you to the ground! I never go cheap or try to save money when it comes to tires. It's not worth it IMO. Been buying tires that way for the last 22 years (and knock on wood) never had a blow out or flat!! Most of the time I use Michelin. I did the Firestone Destination last time around on my truck and had real good luck with them.

No I wont cheap out. But if all that is wrong is a letter not perfect, that shouldn't matter. They won't sell a liability hazzard.

i run blemish m/t street drag radials on my 68...they cost me $100 brand new...the blemish stamp sometimes is a worse blemish than what it actually has....but as far as other ones for sale,i dont know.....

I used to buy Blems. Did OK with them until one set rode like they were flat in spots. No amount of wheel weights would fix the ride. "M" tires are the best you can buy, but I'm not sending profit to France these days. I just bought a nice set of Goodyear's. They are 80,000 mile tires and have worked well so far, really good in the rain.

Buy them with the understanding that you will bring them back if they are unsatisfactory in any other way than a blemish in the lettering. :)

Funny I just started another post yesterday to never buy blemished tires. I bought blemished e.t. street radials, and they don't hook up. they squeel really loud and even at the track they won't hook up.

Why? I do not think the rubber is blemished haha. I just think you are putting down more power than they can handle? I just do not see how a scratch would cause the tires not to hook up.

Well that's just it. They don't tell you what's blemished. I couldn't find anything wrong with the ones I got. I have the blemished set I bought brand new, and I have another set that came with some wheels I bought, and they are almost bald. The bald ones are way better on the street, and when they spin they don't squeel at all. Plus the blemished ones have chunks of rubber falling off of them. I will buy brand new ones next time.
