OK GUYS I'M RUNNING JL93 CHIP,009'S FUEL PRESSURE SET AT 37PSI STATIC, IAC COUNTS 25, INTERGRATER 123-133, MAF-5GPS, BUT MY BLM'S STAY @ AROUND 105, WHAT GIVES? NO SMOKE FROM TAIL PIPES, SEEMS TO RUN FINE BUT CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY IT'S SO RICH. OR IS IT?

you can search til your fingers fall of on this subject - tons of stuff, did you search?

red's chip for 009s is plain screwed up. call testa and get it fixed right

when i was running 009's with a RA 93 chip....my BLMs were between 90-128...usally cruzing at part throttle it was about 106-120...my car ran GREAT....so why is that a problem???now i have 55#...with a JL pt&e chip my BLMs at cruze are 135-150....but with a RA 93 they are 106-128....no big deal!....so...i hope my tune is on!...and the chips are not junk...why dont you turn up the FP a tad...the blm's will go up for you... IMO tho joe:confused:

Um, If you turn up the fuel psi, which you need to do anyway since 37# static is a little low, imo, the BLMs will go down/lower. If they get to 90, or there abouts, it's time for a chip adjustment. I would suggest tuning FP for WOT, for no/low Knock, and then see what the BLMs look like at idle, etc. Then you can decide if the chip's off. Although I don't make chips, it's probable that chip makers have certain perimeters they use when burning you a chip. Such as Inj., Cam, Turbo, etc. Since all cars work a little different, sometimes a chip adjustment is needed. The computer will correct BLMs to a point, but, the most important part, as far as FP goes, is WOT. That's where those pestky headgaskets go out.

Umm, Joe, increasing fuel pressure decreases BLM's and vice-versa.

BLM's at 105 is not a big deal. I guess Dave beat me by saying increasing FP decreases BLM and vise versa :). Change the inj constant in the chip and the numbers should change. BTW, there is no baseline on what fuel pressure you should run with a given injector. It all comes down to the engine combo and the fuel curve in the chip. 42 psi may work for some and 37 may work for others. HTH
