109 blocks are getting harder to find. Is it possible to make a 1985 3.8 regal engine work in a 87 GN.

Yes. It will work but you will have to have the turbo oil return line hole drilled. There is no boss on them like on the 109 block. These blocks (non 109) are suppose to be weaker. You can tell by looking in the lifter valley. 109 oil return holes in the lifter valley are drilled. Check all the local pick and pulls for these blocks. they are in 86 and 87 g body cars. They are still out there. Good luck and good hunting.
