I had a N/A 3.8 and a 484 4.1 block that looked like that in the area around the main cap. I have a 291 4.1 block that looks like the 109 above in that area. I looked at the photos from those builds, and sure enough, they were like that. Another difference between the 484 and 291? At .060 over, I would look for another block unless you are reusing the pistons and the clearances are OK.

Six sleeves? I would hate to see the machine shop bill. Another standard block to bore .030 would be way cheaper.
