I have only seen this 2 times on a GN. Both fitted on the intercooler piping.

Why does no one else run these?? I came from the Import side where these were a common item.

It makes more sense then to have excess boost firing back off the turbo once the butterfly valve closes...

Is this something that more people than I think are running, or is there hegative effect of putting one on?

well a lot of people think letting the car cool down is a waste of time but it saves your turbo in the long run.. Isn't this the same?

Keep in mind these cars have automatic trannies, and you aren't beating up the turbo with compressor surge as you would every time you dip in the clutch on a turbo'd manual tranny car.

Just roll your foot out of the throttle when you're in the boost to avoid compressor surge. Personally, I rather like the sound of compressor surge every now and then... just don't do it constantly. If you're one of the types that are in the boost constantly but always snaps your foot off the gas, a blow off valve might not be a bad idea.

If you can train your right foot to slowly come out of the gas, you can skip the BOV and spend your money on something else with bigger returns.

Gokou,

That's the kind of answer I was looking for. Much appreciated.

:)
