hello; What did you use to seal the BM? I'd like to get that black stuff that GM used. It's lasted this long so it has to be good stuff.

We're talking about the motor with the squirrel cage on the passenger side in the motor compartment, right? I don't remember using a sealant, maybe I just used the original gasket that was already there. I know the black window sealant stayed sticky for 25 years but that might be too messy. Maybe weather stripping from Menards would work?

hello; I'd like to know if there was a gasket there if it's still available? My BM still works but it's noisy. I did take it out yesterday, cleaned and lubed it. It's still noisy. Maybe it's time to replace it.

If you replace it make sure you get that wire wound resister too. I would recommend you get the whole contraption with the cage as it isn't much more than without the cage.
