Friend of mine blew a HG on drivers side...he removed the head and found all the electrodes from the plugs were gone and could tell it was running very lean by color of valves...ports...etc...but when he checked the pass side everything looked OK...plugs looked brand new...didn't have the running lean appearance...so what would cause just the drivers side cyls to run lean?...I could see a bad injector causing a problem in a specific cyl but just too much coincidence to be all on the drivers side...was this a fuel issue?...he said the header on that side appeared to be leaking and thought that may have caused it...I didn't think so...any ideas

if he blew a HG, its possible he was getting some cross leaks between cylinders. That could explain lean on one side as some fuel will leak out and into other chambers thru those holes in the HG.

HG was blown in only one area...to the outside on cyl #3...

Injector driver in the ECM for that bank going bad?

****What he said above, or a bad injector wiring harness on that side of the motor due to a break or short. My original injector harness had the insulation worn through from apparent vibration. It worked fine until WOT, and then it started cutting out intermittantly. I got a new one from Caspers and the problem went away. I was lucky I noticed weird readings from the EGT meter instead of the more definitive sign of a blown headgasket or driving over the crank...
