Blue smoke cloud in the morning!

I'm posting this for a friend that has a 92 Typhoon. In the morning when starting up, a cloud of blue smoke will come out the tailpipe. This only happens in the morning, one big blue puff
then it's okay till the next day. When driving, it will not smoke when stepping on gas pedal. Any suggestions??

Valve seals are bad, when i was a GM tech there is a service bullitin on these. They are weak and at night with engine sitting oil seeps past seal into cylinder, when you start it the oil is burned, that little puff in am. GM has improved umbrella seals.

Common problem with 4.3's. Valve seals are cheap, but under that hood it would probably be a PIA
