When using a stock crank sensor and holder on a stock front cover has anyone seen the ref angle (10 Deg)on FAST be way off using a Buick MotorSports hub? Im going to check a friends car because he never set his and left it at 10d deg..The car has never run right and i told him id set it for him and see if the timing is off. Stage 2 on center block,3.65 crank, big roller cam,160# injectors,Fast,76 gtq turbo,S2 heads, turbo 400,3000# car.The car runs around the 140 MPH range with 25.5 deg timing and 26# boost:(

Yes, I have seen that. The BHJ are usually worse (CR angle of around 6 degrees). I recommend verifying the CR angle on every car, even the ones with stock balancers.

Ive been trying to get my friend to verify this for awhile now:D

:)
He has never got that thing to run right and he needs to verify the timming..

??????????

With that much engine and at only 3000#, he's got more problems than the timing being off a bit....;)

Its a place to start:)
The car did go 9.42 with a 70 turbo and i think 145 MPH 1.30 60ft
