Don't worry, not a buick board.
I started it four days ago, so be easy on me:redface:

Traffic will flow in three weeks.
I had paid to be #1 in search engines, but won't take affect untill then.

I will need mods after site gets rolling.

I posted a link to here to keep the buick world going strong. Trying to get rich docs into the Buick scene. (Hi Jack, I'll send'em your way)

Any help would be nice. I'm trying to keep it funny and entertaining, but yet serious with real doctors.

My dad taught dentistry, brother is dentist, other bro married a dentist, I own a dental lab.

Ask dental questions, or post in off-topic area..

Good luck with your forum.

Unfortunately youve made a lot of common mistakes most people make when starting up forums from scratch. We have something like 35 boards and over 100,000 members with most of them being built from the ground up so I have a little experience at starting forums.

Google ads will help, tho.. just watch your Google budget closely because they will burn your cash if you arent careful.

I"m in. :biggrin: I noticed I got a lot of "invalid session" errors but got most of what I wanted to do done.

This site has changed owners a couple of times. I had a lot of messes to clean up when Shane and I took it over from a software standpoint and the machine it was on was a piece of junk.

I work for a company that does nothing but forums. A guy that used to be into Buicks started the company and Ive been working with him now for a couple of years. Some of our forums include srtforums.com, 300cforums.com, fjcruiserforums.com and chargerforums.com. All of those forums were started from scratch. We also started T6P but sold it off to Travis about 2 years later.

T6P is a great example of why trying to compete against established communities is difficult to do. Even when you have a better forum, people are going to go to where they're conditioned to go and its very hard to garner any traffic. Given that, I think T6P did pretty well for itself. Shane and I had other plans for T6P but unfortunately we're having some difficulty getting the software we want coded for the site. Maybe eventually.. guy has been working on it for 6 months now.
 
Ext-N Technologies.. its at the bottom of all the forums.

We dont use PHPBB so not a lot of assistance we could offer anyway. All of our stuff is vBulletin and all the artists, coders, etc we use only work with VB.

It's turbo BUICK POWER 6, any NoOb knows that, LOL

the name has always bothered me. I feel like I'm on a Urologist web site.

Just a few random initials for a web site name will never fly.

Add the word buick, or turbo to the name of the site.

Just my 2 cents, ya noob.:wink:

Yea.. everyone is an expert at running forums. Its so easy, everyone should be doing it.

It means Turbo 6 Power! T6P still has some loyal members and whenever we get our new software should become a huge site!
 
Shane, I like t6p. Been there for three years. I read it still.

I'm just throwing out a suggestion.

If it means turbo6power, then re-name it that!! (duh)

(I know what it is trying to stand for, but again, what is turbo 6 power? You got it assbackwards)

Direct people to t6p...not much work at all.

So much easier to find on search, and actually means something,

however I'd still change it to be the correct name of the engine,

We used to own that domain. It was barely used so we didnt bother renewing it. I attempted to route traffic through that domain in the beginning but everyone just used t6p.com instead.

Only two weeks old now....I have added streaming Audio and Video in posts....also can now upload files into posts....and I made an avatar gallery. Made everything after dinner the last couple weeks.

Come on and give me feedback! I'm still feeling the need to spice-up the home page. Have no idea what though....

I can change ANYTHING. colors, blocks, links, shapes, graphics, ??? Nothing to it!

How about something different for the TB.com home page....It's pretty old now, and there are plenty of cool projects to post up....diesel GN, more hybrids, new record setting cars, etc...Chop chop...get to it! (I feel a little goofy everytime I look at those two guys hugging each other also, how about some chicks hugging each other next time??)
