I am trying to buy 4 rims. I don not know about bolt patterns so I will ask.

Will the following fit on a GN?

Bolt Pattern: 5 x 4.75 or 5 x 120.65 (8J) on a matching set of 4 used Original GM Machined Mesh Front and Rear Red Alloy Metal Rims pulled from a 1988 Pontiac Firebird GTA. Set includes 2 16x8 Machined Mesh Front, (4.375 back space) and 2 16x8 Machined Mesh Rear, (5.235 back space).

Do I have to do anything other than place then on my GN? If so what? Thanks

You will more than likely not clear the rears, too much of a backspacing. With that backspacing you will need a .5 inch spacer on the rear. The fronts should be fine. I had 17x9's with a 5 inch backspacing and had less than 1/4" and no Buick has a centered rearend.

5 x 4.75 is correct. The backspacing on the rear is too much, backspacing on the front *may* be also. Why not ask him to try the fit before buying?

Check out Wheel Offset Calculator
This site will calculate the change in inner clearance and outer position.

I reduced the inner clearance by 27 mm and increased the outer position by 75 mm with no contact.

Beside the GNX suspension and flares I’ve got Bilstien shocks, ATR 1-3/8” sway bar, air bags (@ 10 psi and H&R spacers) and Global West lower control arms. The wheels are 12x17 with 41 mm offset and the tires are 315-35-17 with a ¼ spacer. I’ve got ½” spacers to go to 345 tires. I would say my set-up is about as extreme as you can go without notching the frame or custom flares.
