Boost and fuel press. ??????

Hey guys, just want to get this straight before I blow something up! Say if Im running 17# boost and 43# fuel press,and up the boost to 19# would I then up the F P to 45 (line off),OR does the adjustable reg. up it itself.I know this is a dumb question,could someone clear this up for me?THANX!

Hey bud

well basically you dont touch the fuel press reg unless your leaning out

the fuel press reg/computer will feed more fuel as the boost increases

now to give you an example i use to run 42psi vac on i think and 25psi of boost and was fine but lets say that i was leaning out then i would turn it up about 2-3psi to start with

for every 1pound of boost the fuel press should raise 10psi if i remember right

so 15psi boost to 20psi
42vac on to 47psi in fuel pressure

fuel pressure goes up 1:1 meaning for every pound of boost the pressure goes up 1 pound

Do you have a scantool? If not, you should get one to avoid doing engine damage. If you increase your boost you more than likely will have to increase your static fp via the regulator. It will not adjust itself from 43 to 45 as mentioned in your example.
