New G2 fuel pump. Hotwired. Adjustable regulator. New waste gate (not HD). New hoses (zip-tied). TT chip for stock injectors/91 octane/ no ally. All Scanmaster #s are spot on. Boost gauge will be installed before I start screwing around with the boost. Car won’t be raced. Not concerned with top end.
Would like faster spool up for showing off at stop lights. Would a boost controller help with this, or should I just use the waste gate rod? Thanks

What turbo? What converter? Stock engine or internal mods?

All of these items makes huge difference in spool up.

Manual boost controller vs stock solenoid, yes manual will spool a little faster.

I actually have a Hallman manual for sale though I usually don't pimp out parts in tech posts. This and even those cheap brass manuals were a nice and noticeable improvement.

Make the vacuum lines as short as possible, then turn in the stock actuator puck arm to the point where you use a small area in the manual knob range and the spool up was even better.

As you're keeping everything stock, an adjustable rod will be fine.

Wouldn't recommend going over 15-17 pounds anyway with your set-up. You're at low octane(91) & no ALKY. Go much higher than that, & you'll be asking for trouble.

Spool depends on more factors than just a boost controller. Depends on your build. Turbo, converter, etc. You seem to be staying stockish so you prolly have the D5 converter(unless you changed it).

Hold the car with the brakes, build boost, & let off brake. It'll do just fine at from the "stop light".
