im runnin 13-15 pounds of boost on 91 octane and thinking of using an rjc boost controller for the quicker spool up.. For this tame amount of boost will there be any noticible change in the spool up

I have the same boost controller, my car spools up very fast but that has a lot to do with the combo too. I have mine set at 22psi.

I'd call RJC and I'm sure you'll get an accurate answer.

What accuator are you running?

A boost controller should spool the turbo to full boost quicker becuase the wastegate stays completelly shut vs opening up partially without a controller.

im using the stock adjustable accuator..At what amount of boost will i need to upgrade to an hd accuator??

You won't be able to run that low of boost with the RJC unit installed. It has a built in air bleed to allow the actuator to close, as a side effect, it makes alittle more boost. I have run 25 to 30 psi with a stock actuator and an RJC controller. You can make alot of boost by not sending boost to the actuator, then the boost will be will be limited by back pressure pushing open the puck.
