I feel bad for blowing up this forum, and constantly posting threads but i honestly have no other option... there isnt much info on carbed turbo regals on this website, so im gonna try my hardest to bring up new topics, and share what i figure out... anyway...

Does anyone know where the boost gauge hooks up to on the carbed turbos??? which line?... i see a few TEE's under the hood, but i am not sure what is what... and i know once i have that figured out, im going to ask how to a hook up the backlight for the gauge... so does anyone know where the backlight wires go for the gauge???? thanks again!!!

Tie it in with the vac line that goes towards the hobb switches, i think. Been a while. Congrats on the 83 T. That's the year of carbed turbo car I'm looking for;) .

what are hobb switches??? is it some type of sensor?? if i put my finger over the line it should be sucking air? or blowing air? im just trying to learn sorry for all the questions

by the way, those are the things that have vac lines going to them with a wire connector on the driver's fender. Check this site out if youhaven't already. Lots of good reading for a cold day. Get your printer ready, pen and paper to do notes, beverage, and some munchies. You'll learn a lot. Wish I woulda found this site before I blew mine up, Probably would still have it:redface:

Didn't see a pic of the switches, like I said easy to find. Bolted right along the driver's inner fender between the washer fluid tank and firewall, in that area. Or you can follow your vac hose from the turbo but that's the hard way. If you still don't understand where to hook up get in contact with
B4black he can show you the way. He's done a lot with these cars. until then, do the little stuff. Food for thought-if your vac lines aren't really soft or crumbling, have holes etc., don't mess with the ones coming off the plastic ports on the intake unless you absolutely have too. the plastic port that screws into it tends to break easily. GO through this list. PLEASE READ as much info as possible on the before black site so you don't gernade the motor and go through this check list for tune up before anything
