i cant really drive my car normally because when i step on it the boost goes to high. it has an adjustable wastegate but i cant get it to adjust at all. it seems like it isnt even ment to move...but it has treads and a nut so it should right? is there any other way to control the boost of my car. i am thinking of taking off the adjustable one and putting on the stock one because i just want to run my car at 15 psi...i am tired of this problem...any suggestions? i thought the problem was something else but this is really the problem...if i step on it too hard it jumps up past 20, if i slowly ease into it i can get it to go good at about 10 but after that it jumps past 20...i dont want to hurt anything so i am not driving it, but I want to get it fixed so i can...any help is appreciated...

also, can i take off the wastegate without taking any thing else off...it looks like one of the bolts is hard to get to and might not come out unless something is moved...

The adjustable would make the same amount of boost if the rod were the same length as the stock one. In other words, unscrew the end of the adjustable to make it as long as stock. If it won't unscrew, hold it with some pliers and loosen the nut that's behind the adjustable end; back the nut away from it. If it still won't loosen, hold the rod with pliers so it doesn't twist the rubber diaphragm inside the can and use pliers on the adjustable end. Maybe it's stuck or seized on the threads.

i have no problem using the adjustable one except for the fact that it wont adjust. i am gonna try it again tomorrow but i held it with vice grips and had a line wrench on it and it wouldn't move either way...

Sounds like it has seen better days,I would just order a new one and keep my foot out of it for now.

Jusy a silly thought......you are removing the clip and taking the rod end off of the pin first right? Then loosen the lock nut and turning the arm out?just a thought

yes i removed the clip and took it off where it sits before trying to loosen the nut which doesnt move either way.
