Was wondering if there is anyway to make the boost more consistent. I am running about 18# right now, and it will stay right at 18 until I get into third. Then it will start to go up to about 20#, by the time it is going into fourth. Anyway that I can make the boost stay right at 18, besides a really exspensive boost controller?
Thanks

One thing you can do to help with this situation is to port the WG hoe in the exhaust housing. A really simple procedure. Take the turbo off, take the exhaust housing off the turbo and bring it to a machine shop. Tell them to center the bit on the carbon track, not the existing hole and your set...re-assemble and enjoy. Don't know what turbo or down-pipe you have as it's not posted in your sig. A THDP has a larger puck and can easily accomodate a 1.125" hole.

That helps a lot! I think the seal maybe be bad on the turbo also, so I will just fix two things at once. I am running a PTE-44 turbo, and a THDP.
thanks

I had a very similar problem to yours and Jack Cotton gave me a great solution. He sold me a Parker Needle valve that I hooked up to the wastegate hoses in place of the solenoid(leave solenoid hooked up so it wont throw a code) I left my wastegate rod exactly where it was and I put the valve in so it was closed. I drove the car and my boost shot right to 15 and stayed there. I then proceeded to adjust the valve so I could obtain 17 psi. Worked like a charm for me and lots easier than porting waste gate hole. This will work!
