Boost valve question

This last spring I installed a generic shift kit. It certainly helped firm up the shifts, however I'd still like a little firmer yet.

The kit I installed didn't come with a larger boost valve. So... my question is, will a larger boost valve do anything for it as far as firming up the shifts even more?

If so, what size? .500? bigger? smaller?
