Hey guys,
Getting ready to O/H the bottom end and add billet mains. Plan to balance the rotating assy as well. Have questions on rings and head gaskets. I have heard that it's best NOT to use gapless rings. Why not? (Speed Pro Plasma Moly have been recommended) I may or may not be using the stock pistons depending on how they look. (80,000 mi)
What is the best headgasket, and is O-ringing the block or heads a good way to go?
Any other tricks relating to block oiling, etc, would be appreciated.
Plan to use ARP fasteners. Pros/cons to using studs for the mains and heads?
My combination is listed below. I plan to add a 63-1 turbo and bigger injectors, and hope for mid-10 second times.
