Just got it wednesday, awaiting title. Going all out, 87 Drive train swap. And GNX Interior/Exterior. Is a hardtop. So that was my original plan. To make a GNX Clone!

Perfect 329 block. Perfect Turbo, Transmission doesnt snap as hard?, Needs a bit of cosmetic work. And runs REALLY rich.

$1,700.00 What a steal!

Can you guys tell me why its running rich? Or give me some ideas? Id apreciate it. Thanks

- Cody,

PS: Admin, Change my name to 84grandnational.

If I were you I'd re-think the interior swap. Your 1984 GN has the rare and attractive Lear Seigler seats. If they're worn out pay the $ to get'em recovered and keep the interior that sets the '84 apart from all other GN's.

wow never though of it that way. I thought the 84/85 Interior was the same? Sweet, i got something rare!.

BTW, my buddy matt gilbert, (hes got a REALLY FAST GSX eclipse, low 12s). Told me to get a boost gauge. So i went up and got one. And I need to find THE proper vaccum line for the gauge.

Does anyone got any diagrams or anything? I'd like to get this done tonight. Thanks. I check back every 2 min lol

You can "t" into the line going to the MAP sensor on the passenger side fender.

congrats, nice steal!

Have you seen the car? I doubt the seats are in any fashion for $1700, hell my seats in good condition are worth almost the price of your car!

Swapping the interior may be a good idea. You'll want to do the carpet(switch it to black) and seats at least, and recarpet your lower door panels to black. ALL of the trim is different in the 84's as well, it's a lighter beige called Sandstone, while the 85's-7's have a blue/grey type color. I think the sandstone looks good though.

I swapped black carpet and recarpeted my lower door panels, and carpeted my rear speaker tray area black too on my 84 if you want to see pictures of what it will look like.

Best of luck with it!
