Korey, You replaced the water pump in your Fiero? I had an '87 GT, Great little car, and I put on an underdrive pulley, what a PITA!!!! I cannot imagine doing a water pump...It's not a normal thing to have to pull a tire to replace a belt Is your Fiero a GT? I still regret selling mine, only ran a 16.4 but got wonderful mileage, used to scare my friends when it was raining, you could crank the wheel one way doing 40mph and the car would continue going straight

Well, now that Pat and I have proven ourselves as the ultimate evil villains that we truly are, we can go on to our normal tasks. You know like tripping old ladies, using puppies and kittens for batting practice and we really can’t forget our trip to Alaska for the annual clubbing of baby seals.

Korey, the weatherstrips don’t say RR5020M on them, just RR5020 so I don’t know what the deal is. Last night I trimmed them down and cleaned all the surfaces and I’ll give it another shot either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Oh and BTW Korey I don’t need your help installing them, I like to keep my car in its current state, “Running”. Strange stuff happens when you lays hands on vechiles.

Korey actually did do the majority of the water pump. Chris helped him get the last bolt that was holding the old one on off, it was stuck, & loaned him a few tools.

I'm not uptight about the weatherstrips, just frustrated. If these truely are Metro RR5020M weatherstrips and I can't get them to work, then I not sure were to turn next besides the OEM ones that are major $$$.

Anyone that's following this thread needs to know that a lot of this is bantering back and forth between friends. We're very much a family joined by owning these cars/trucks.

All it needed was a fresh gas tank with new fuel, a battery, 4 new tires, brakes, carb rebuild, points/condensor, new oil and filter along with a new oil pan (due to a stripped out drain plug ) And a whole lot of luck

This is really going to be really funny in a tragic sort of way.

Because I'm positive that you're going to move that car from the junk yard onto the front (or side) of your mothers house and that's were it's going to sit until it's hauled back to the junk yard. That and you've just put $200 down the drain.

I dare you to prove me wrong on this one. If you actually get that car road worthy I'll be in complete amazement and you'll have earned an entire new level of respect from me. Taking on the task of restoring a car like this is going to be a huge undertaking that'll take a lot of time and hard work to accomplish.
