Bought a new Toy: Xbox, what's good???

Wife says I have too many toys, I say not enough ;)

I bought Xbox tonight w/the HD hookup so I can play in 55 inches of High Def . It came w/2 free games a Tetris/Star Wars Combo
and I bought NFL 2004 along w/Project Gotham Racing.

What's some new or really good games out there I should get? I saw the Lord of the Rings one, I'm a big LOR fan, just not sure how the game is/would be.
 
It depends what you like. I loved Halo, Max payne,007 Nightfire. Im still working on Splinter Cell which has some of the best graphics ive ever seen.
 
Grand Theft Auto is Play Station only. I WISH it was on XBOX. I could only imaging how frigging cool that game would be on the XBOX.

JMIDOLO, get Halo, it was the game of the year either last year or 2 years ago. Halo 2 will be coming out soon too. You can play with up to 16 guys on Halo. Oh man it is a sweet sweet game with 16 guys. Made time on the boat go by really fast.

Just as a warning, 12 hours on Halo go by in 3 seconds. He he.
 
Plus I read somewhere that Halo is in 1080i. Actually, there are like 3 games in Xbox that are in HD. PS3 is supposed to have the capability, but who knows when that comes out.

Lemme know how you like the Xbox Joey, been thinking about getting one, but I dont do anything but racing games really....
 
Humm lets see what is good for X-Box.... Everything!!:) but if you have to get one get Halo... that kool with alot of people

Yea, I saw Halo and remember my boss talking about it. Seems to be the game of choice.

I have a Mitsu WS-55819. Love the set. Running it w/a Sony HD100 HD & OTA Sat Receiver w/a lot of other goodeis :)
 
All the games i posted are shoot them ups. When i 1st got my X box i played Halo all night long like from 7p to 7a :eek: Max Payne was cool too with the " Matrix" style slo mo shoot outs....
 
If you like shoot'em ups, then Halo is the one. It takes shoot'em up to a whole new level. My favorite is Splinter Cell. It's hard sometimes but it is just an awsome game. I've played it all the way through about 30 times and it never gets old. Just downloaded the 'Kola Cell' mission and it's the hardest level yet.

Halo 2 is due out in March 04 and Splinter Cell:Pandora Tommorow is due out the same time. Boy I can't wait for March!!
 
halo is cool, its a fun futuristic shoot em up game. mine came with sega gt, i've got to say its about the best racing game i've ever played. no dumb power ups and short cuts, just VERY realistic orginized racing, and the graphics are so real i've walked in while my brother was playing it and thought it was real racing for a minute, great graphics. need for speed hot pursuit 2 is also fun, not nearly as realistic as sega gt but does have a lot more cooler cars; either are good racing games.

rogue spear has got to be my favorite non racing game i've played, its a special forces military type game, LOTS of stradegy not just shoot as many people as you can.
when the new rainbow six game comes out (if it hasn't already) it shoudl be pretty fun too, i know the computer version is great, oh and read the tom clancy book too!

Halo
ESPN NHL Hockey
Max Payne
LOR 2 towers

Freedom Fighters is supposed to be good, just came out.

Check out videogames.com for some very trustworthy reviews and updates.
 
The game "Need for Speed" is a good race game for a couple of hours before you get your eyes burned from driving too hard!!
 
i dont know if this is on XBox (i only have an N64:( ), but i think Midnight Racer 4 just came out and it looks incredible if you like racing games. that would be the first (maybe only) one i'd get.
 
I love my XBOX...i go through phases of great games and play them non stop till completion. some of my favorites were:

-Splinter Cell: IMO the greatest video game made EVER! just incredible, words cant describe.
-Madden Football: Greatest sports game ever. PERIOD! just can't be touched but sometimes I actually liked playing NFL Fever better. both are great tho.
-Tiger Woods Golf: my current project. I just beat '03 and am buying '04 shortly, can't wait. I'm addicted!
-Dead or Alive 3: if your in to fighting games like Tekken then this is the game. it was one of the original xbox games but it is just incredible. its been in my collection since day 1 but is currently for sale if you'd like it.

I actually sell all my old games on half.com b/c I will most likely never play them again. as soon as my current games for sale sell I will get tiger woods '04 and madden '04. if your interested I have these for sale:

i am not looking to make money. just trying to get more than the $15 a game that EB or gamestop offers you.

PS: i really hated HALO and PROJECT GOTHAM. I had them both and returned them after a few days. I think Halo is definatly one of the greatest games ever made, I could just never get into it. And project gotham was just boring. its all personal preference.

oh and even if your not going to buy my games then check out half.com anyways, you can find some good deals there. Later, steve
 
I forgot this one, but somebody mentioned it: Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. A must for the driving enthusiast. How can you beat running from the cops?
