Boyd Coddington Wheels?

Anybody here deal with Boyd's wheels. Hows the overall quality of his wheels? Anybody have these wheels? I'm thinking about 17 X 8s all the way around with a 4" BS.

Hey Red I've got Boyd 17 x 7s on my 65 Vette. Very Good Quality.

I wouldn't recommend a Chrome Aluminum wheel though. Chroming Aluminum just doesn't last.

My '87 GN has 18 x 8.5 wheels with 5" BS. Minimal rub. You might want to go with 4.5 BS to have a more tucked look and no worries on the rub.

Thanks Rob..........I just put these wheels on my GN. I like them a lot and get lots of compliments on them. They are 17 X 8 and have a 4.45 BS and cost half what the Boyd's will cost me. I'm using a 7/16" spacer w/ 2" studs, of course, on the rears to bring them out some. So I figure if I do 17X8s again, a 4" BS would be perfect.

Red, The wheels you have now look great. Why change? They kinda look like polished IROC Z wheels. I like the 5 spoke look.

Dwayne is a Tool. Bluebear is a Goof, but his joke on Boyd was pretty good and Dwayne overreacted.
When the show started I thought Dwayne was playing it up for ratings because of Paul Sr. on American Choppers success.
I think he's a for real Azzhole and if anybody needs to get laid it's him.

Lookin' good, fatride. I'm thinking for almost $2 grand a set, they should have outstanding quality. The one's I'm interested in have that smooth lip. Are your's 17s? What backspace did you choose?

Rob, they ARE chromed 17" IROCs. I'm very happy with my combination. I'd probably move them on to my red T. I like the more slender spokes on the Boyd's wheel I'm considering.

Hey Bob, thanks! The price on the page I had was around $410 each on the Ociris style wheel. That's the one I'm looking at. According to the link you provided, they might be $1380 a set. Have to check to be sure.

I have the hot rod style on my car 17by7 on front and 17by9.5 on the back and I think they look great now if I could just get the engine built I could ride around.

Those wheels look good And me buying the GNX wheels from ya pretty much paid for the wheels themselves
