A few weeks ago we have been asked to judge the class that will feature original Turbo Regals at the upcoming Buick Performance Group event end of this month in Ohio.
Assisting me will be Anthony Petridis and of course Richard Clark who can virtually identify any bolt on the car as being correct or not correct. The common joke we started was Richard already has test equipment created to measure the amount of new car smell in the original cars....and has in the works a portable test unit to date the air in the tires to make sure it is correct.
I tip my hat to those in charge of setting this event up and getting many of the big names that were involved with the Turbo Regal to come and speak at this event. The years 1984-1987 for Buick was Buicks moment to shine in the spotlight. It also represented the end for rear wheel drive performance for the Buick.
We will be set up as a vendor as will Pete who works for us as well have parts for sale. I am always interested in parts for letters of credit or trade. We do not I repeat do not want any brake units s cores nor steering wheels. We will take stock turbos and stock 1986-1987 mass air flow sensors. We are still able to get the original mass air flow sensors rebuilt with a warranty. Only the original 1986-1987 mass air flow sensors have the correct format to pass as originals. No other GM car I am aware of used that style mass air flow sensor.
Be sure to come by our vendor spot I have a unique gift getting custom made to present to Richard Clark that is unlike anything he has or has ever seen. A one of a kind item for his shop. I will have a similar 2nd one custom made that will be for sale. (No more clues)
