I am having a problem where my third brake light is not working and the back brake lights are. After consulting the Buick service manual it seems as though the brake light switch is the problem since it provides the power directly to the high stop light. Is this part available in auto parts stores such as Autozone or do I have to try and find a used one somewhere? Thanks.

theres two switches on your brake pedal. one has orange (batt +) and one white wire. check to see if white wire has power when you push the brake.(the other switch is for cruise and torque converter unlock).
if white wire has voltage when pressing brake, check the plug going to the turn signal switch under the column. the white wire there is known for having loose connections.
