Well i decided to drive the GN today and start around a turn and ease on the brakes when the pedal goes to the floor! I got slowed down and stopped in a parking lot and got to looking....full for brake fluid...no leaks or anything. If i press the pedal when driving the pedal goes all the way down but if i pump it 2 or 3 times quickly i have brakes. What do i do? Where do i start? I know nothing about these brake systems so please help.

It depends on which braking system you have in your 85. The early 85's have what is called a hydroboost sytem. It gets its power from the power steering pump, and later in the production year on 85's they went to the powerbooster system. If you have hoses running from your PS pump to behind the master cylinder then its hydroboost, if not then its powermaster. Let us know which system you have so we can help better. Also is your brake light on your dash on?

Im at work right now so ill have to wait until the morning and check for the hoses. No my brake light is not on.

i had the same problem with my 85, everything in the system was new except proportioning valve, so i dissasemble it and cleaned it brakes came back. it was gunked up with old fluid.hth

sounds like a bad master cylinder and probably has nothing to do with what type of power system the brakes use.
