hi ,just i little trouble whit my brake ,the pedal are hard and the car dont brake and half of second after if i hold the pedal brake thay come normaly smooth and the car brake ok but if i pump the pedal is always hard ,it is te black ball whit the gaz on it or is the electrique brake motor  thanks for the help bob:rolleyes:

you could check the AC fuse under the dash IF the electric motor does not cycle once the key is turned on-

you "might" have a silver circuit breaker located on the powermaster electric motor. if you can take that circuit breaker out and just plug the harness back in, it may turn the electric motor back on-

more than likely if the electric motor comes on and the brake pedal is hard, then it will be the black ball, or the pressure switch located on the top of the powermaster-

do you have a buddy with the same type of car that you can swap parts to diagnose your problem?

if you remove the accumulator ball, make sure that you pump the brakes up 15 time to release the pressure inside of it!!!!!!
read the directions on the lid of your brake master cylinder.

yes i have 2 gn i try the a/c fuse first and i make all test you told me and after i leeve you some news thanks bryan :D apreciate;) bob

hi ,i check the fuse it's ok ,after i try the presure switch ....do the same ? i see the motor it's all time on and i know it's not normal because my second gn dont do that's help! the light stay on too!ut sometime close when i push the brake pedal... thasnks bob

i didnt see you posted, maybe i passed over the link in my inbox?

if youve replaced the switch, do the ball, there should be no reason for the pump to run all the time.
its one or the other usually.

Good luck

ya thanks bryan i call gm tomorow and vby a new ball
:( thay cost a lot 258$canadian anyway i need to fix dont have chose i let you news friday thanks bob;)

hi bryan ,i change the black balls and do the same ... the motor stay always on .....now i take the motor from my other gn and i try it....if is not the motor the only chose i have is the p-m:confused: thanks bob

If the motor runs all the time, chances are the check valve (located in the master cylinder) for the PM motor is leaking. This will require rebuilding the master cylinder. The master cylinder rebuild kit is still available from GM. The motor will continue to pump, so long as the pressure switch does not see enough pressure to shut the motor off. If you changed the accumulator and the motor still does not shut off, then either the motor cannot acheive shut off pressure or there is a slow leak causing the system not to acheive pressure.

hi ,now i just finish to instal the motor ......but still have the light on when i dont tutch the brake pedal and go off when tutch the brake pedal.....need help:mad:

resume ....ichange the black ball, the swich, the electric motor.....
now when i hit the pedal 15 times key off after i turn key on and thay take 6-8sec to stop the motor .....but the light stay on and off when i hit the pedal and if i check on the cup when i hit the pedal i see some oil jump on the cop and earning a sound ,the motor go on 2 sec after each time i hit the pedal....

At any time during you're brake problems, did the padal for to the floor? Because your combination valve may not be centered. 6-8 seconds of run time is good. But, does the motor hum really low once the power assist side is pumped up. Have you bled the complete brake system, is the pedal low?

when i change the motor i blead the hose thay come from the motor to the p-m thats all i blead ....did i need to blead something else ?and dont told you the car have a line lock!do you have the procedure to blead evrething good just to make sure i spand a lot of money and nothing works..:(exept the pump just run 6-8 sec like he supose to do.....one problem fixe......the light stay always on execp when i pust the brake pedal.....i unplug the presure swich and the light stay on !

Did the problem occur after the line lock was installed? Can you temporarily bypass the line lock and return to a non line lock set up. Resolve your brake light issues and then re-connect your line lock set up.

no the line lock was there before the problem come on...did there have a special metod to blead the brake?

i try to bled agan and if those brake dont work i will change to a vaccum kit ....what do i need to make all the change thanks bob

The two smaller reservoirs (near the drivers side) is for braking. Try bleeding those lines and your whole brake system. If you want to switch to vacuum, get a hold of RedRegalT.

ou is redregalt? do you have a email .....and i check on the 2 little reservoir when i push brake i see the fluid jump inside it! i think is not normal:confused: bob

Sure it's normal. That is the bladder of the accumulator relieving 700psi of pressure through the check valve. Look up RedRegalT using the members search option on the top of the page

ok i call redbuickt today ....it's the maste cylinder valve the problem an i dont change all the unit i go to a convertion vacuum kit ....i need to mutch parts to fix the electrique one(motor and master)thanks for the help :D i very apreciate the time you give me ,i just hope i can help you one of this day;) bob
