Ok, i am thinking about making an upgrade to my brake system and am wondering if anybody has experience with any other manufacturer other than Baer? [if you do have a BAER system please comment on it too] How do Aerospace, Stainless Steel Brake Co., Wilwood, or any others compare? Who makes the best all around kit? Do you need to modify anything? What kind of cost? Do I need different a-arms an/or spindles? Please comment on any experience at all; Good or Bad. TIA. I'm sure this information will be helpful to everyone. Also if you have pictures of installations or kits please include or provide links. Thanx- Aaron

Lots of guys are singing the praises of swapping to LS1 Camaro spec brakes, sounds like its as good as the Baer kit and half the money, if you're into DIY type stuff. There's lots of info if you search.

I have Wilwood all around and once I put on the right combo valve and master cylinder for 4-wheel disc they work great and have been reliable.

PS I have a set up B-body spindles, 1LE rotors (5" x 4 3/4" bolt pattern, like the g-body) and B-body calipers with Carbon Metallic pads. All assembled and just needs upper control arms. I upgraded to the Global West/Wilwood setup from this. Will sell for a good price.

Delta T - What kind of price did the front kit run? And did you purchase direct from Wilwood direct. Also give me a price for your old setup if you still have it. Thanx

Royal,

The Global West front set (billet spindle, 13" grooved rotor, modified and powder-coated B-spindle, 6-piston caliper, pads and lines), was like $2700. Rears are about $590 from Summit for everything including mechanical ebrake.

I'll sell the set for $300 plus shipping. I still have the Global West boxes which will work. Figure on some weight, though.

will the ls1 front brakes fit with the 84 t-type wheels?? and what parts will i need to swap over.
