I have acquired a "BRAND NEW" Stage 1, 3.8 block. It's a little rusty but that will not effect it. No machine work has been done to this factory block.

This is the first Stage 1 that I have had -- What's it worth???? Any idea's???

See attached pics!

About 4 years ago, to do the final machining (lifters, cylinders etc.) to a virgin off center stage 2 block, so that it could be used cost about $1500.

I got (IMO) a good deal when I purchased the virgin stage 2 block for $1500.
At that time most stage 2 were sell around $2000-$2500

I haven't seen many stage 1 virgin block for sale, so I don't know a price.

What did you pay for it?

Gary

Mike,

As far as the block's true "value" I'd tell you $1500 maybe but I'm always amazed what people will pay for Stage I blocks. Sometimes it's in the neighborhood of Stage II prices. At least the one you have appears to have all the oil passages. The last one I bought didn't have any.

I would agree with Neal, but you know things are worth whatever people are willing to pay. Good luck on your sell.

Mike,
That thing is junk! Its not worth as much as a STD "109" block. I'll pay for shipping if you wanna send it to me to get rid of it. ;)
I'll keep it in mind.
