Hmmm where to start?

Valve springs check out..
New O2 sensor..
New Plugs..
Fuel pressure checks out..
Reset ecm..
Mass air sensor checks out..
Coil Ohm checks out..

Seems to have started abruptly, almost sounds like it is hitting the rev limiter when it breaks up (though it is at 5800) good bottom end power and idle.. Seems that it is worst with more boost, and not as bad under low boost conditions.. all cylinders seem to check ok, no signs of bad gaskets or broken parts.. I have never encountered this problem since owning the car, I can send a DS file to whom may want to take a peek.. Only thing that has been recently changed is a minor adjustment to the activator rod..

Caspers coil pack tester would be what I would start with.

Maybe someone in your area has one.

Or swap a known good coil pack onto the car.

I'd pull a couple of the new plugs and look at them as well for clues.

I can look at the file for you if you wish.

Assuming that your not running platinum or something else other than a conventional plug.Tighten the gap to .028 & see if that clears it up. I have run into this many times before. I have also been misled by coil packs that tested good but were not. Hope this helps

Thanks for the input, I'll try taking a look into the coil today.. I'll note the findings a bit later today..

you really having issues or did you just need a reason to show off that engine compartment?

Very nice!

Ha Ha Ha.... If you own a GN, your showing it off!

Well tested the coil, it tested well and ohm'ed out good. But I bought a new one anyways and replaced it, and BAM.. Back to spinning the turbo and tires..
I appreciate the help..

Is anyone using or tried using the accel coil?

So this fixed your problem? Haveing the same issue, maybe Ill try this.

Thanks

Sometimes the coilpacks ohm out good but can still be weak in the upper RPMs. When you see "missing at high rpm" or "sputtering under boost" or something similar a lot of times it points to the coil pack and/or module.
