Yup, its another Brian Hofer thread :D

Got my trans in over the weekend and the Hurst is back on the road with its newly rebuilt OZ code 200-4R, compliments of Brian. I had him build it with a CK shift kit (there were a few minor mods he made  ), a 694 servo, and all his usual goodies (10 vane pump, red alto clutches, welded/hardened drum and input shaft).

After going for a ride... this thing is AWESOME  The part throttle shifts are very fast and smooth to the point where you barely feel it shift, and the trans gets snappier over half throttle up to WOT. It barks the tires nicely on the 1-2 shift, and its even chirped 3rd a couple times. It shifts it fast but not harsh, no neck snap even as the tires chirp. It makes the 307 so much more fun to drive (and a 403 is on the way).

He can build them to shift a lot harder (for those interested), but this is exactly what I asked for. My car really never sees the track, and probably will see a little bit after the 403 goes in, so I asked Brian to build me a nice street trans that makes a little noise on the shifts. He couldn't have done a better job with what I asked for.

On top of a quality product, Brian is one of the nicest guys I've met. I called him with many little questions throughout the time he was building it and while I was installing, and he never failed to return my call promptly or spend plenty of time with me on the phone assuring me that everything was cool.

Thanks Brian! I'll try to remember to dig this up and update it after I put some miles and 307 powered abuse on it, lol.

Cliff's notes: Brian rocks, email him at hipsibri@cs.com if you want a killer trans at a fantastic price. :D
