Why does the "T" in the top picture not have the hood bulge?

And on the last page of the Regals brochure it's pictured again...clearly a "T' without the hood bulge?

That's correct, I bought my car new and neighbors wondered why I didn't go for the V8.

I always wonder why I've never seen a "T" packaged Regal non turbo. Never in a junkyard or on the street. Every car I have seen with those wheels has had the bulge on the hood.
