So I somehow managed to break the pin that moves the lever on the throttle position sensor. I tried tapping it out with a small screw driver with no luck, can anyone suggest how to get the rest out and also what is the part called ? Can I buy another one ? If anyone has one for sale I'm a buyer.
It's just a common roll pin. I usely use a punch slightly smaller than the hole that the roll pin goes thru the shaft. You can probably go to any hardware store and get a replacement pin.
You might have better luck searching for a 'spring roll pin'.
Then again it might be a crap shoot unless you can find someone old enough to know hardware by it's real name.
If calipers can't get in there to find the size, use small drills and find the two sizes that make a go/no-go gauge. The larger of the two should put you there.
