Broken part in t350 trans

I pulled my t350 trans apart today to find a part in the back of the inside of the trans were broke, it is a big round part with about 10-12 cyl type bearings in it. All the bearing were broke and popping out, i hope this is y the trans was jumping in other gears and locking up. I all so found a bent up peace thatr looks like part of a lankage inside to in the back , i have no clue how it got there tho.

what part does this sound like and will this make the problems that i am having.

Rollers?

Sounds like the low/reverse roller clutch. The linkage could be the anti-clunk spring. Did you happen to lose Drive, but could start out in L1 and upshift manually to Drive?

I could strat in 1st but i didn't try drive, i felt like it would go in 1st and then hit park or rev and lock the tires up.
