brown engine coolant

I am running only water in my radiator because it gets over 100* here and am noticing that my coolant turns a nasty brown after a couple days. I am just hoping it is a nasty radiator or could engine oil be getting in the coolant somewhere. I know oil and water dont mix but could oil be discoloring my coolant? thanks

Are you running any water wetter or anything to prevent rust?

If you're not running water wetter or antifreeze then the brown color is coming from rust.

I don't believe Water Wetter has any rust preventative in it. Run RMI-25. It has that and more. Can be gotten from Cottons or most any other Buick Vendor.
