Under normal circumstances, the MTV upshift valve w/ spring should react at about 10 psi of TV pressure. That occurs at a relatively light throttle. I couldn't see removing the spring having much affect on his WOT 1-2 shift problem.

However, if his MTV upshift valve was sticking and not moving at all, that would be of concern. Since removing the spring won't hurt a thing, it still wouldn't be a bad idea for 68Camaro to pull down the VB to do so and make sure the valve is free while he's at it.

Thanks Guys!!!

Just trying to learn and someday be like my mentors.... ;)... :D... :p
