All right, the car had been running fine at 15-16psi. Then I installed my alky kit. Turned the rod on the wastegate some and tried it with my RA 93 chip. ended up getting 20psi with less than 2* KR.

Well then the cap on the tank cross threaded and long and short of it is the tank was ruined (would rather not get into that)
So I rigged the overflow bowl to be my alky tank.

Went out tonight and tested it, the first run I got 20psi and about the same KR, <2*, but the alky was coming on too soon because it was bogging. So I turned the Hobbs switch to have the alky come on a little later.

Next run the thing started bucking, popping and didnt want to go. So I screwed around with the turn on point for a while and couldnt get past 1/2 throttle. I changed from an .025 jet to .016 (thought maybe too much alky) to no avail

Finally I disconnected the alky and drove home being careful with my boost. Well it seemed to be running better so I ran it to 14psi, ran great. Then I put it to 3/4 and after 17psi it started popping and bucking again. WTF?

Me thinks (hopes) its something simple like my plugs are gapped too wide or something. It is hard to check o2's since I cant give it enough throttle for the SM to go into record mode. Whenever I could check them they looked OK 790-830

What damage have I done to my once excellent running ride in the search for more boost?

Maybe not damage, but coilpack/module failure have symptoms like those.

You think its marginal and the added boost is making it give out?

I am thinking ignition also but will have to borrow an ohmmeter to test it.

I would start pulling plugs and see what they look like. That is the first thing I would do.
