What is the factory color for the upper throttle body? And does someone make it in a rattle can?

No color, uncoated aluminum.

If I media blasted it would I need to clear it??

I blasted my intake and plenum a year ago and never clear coated it.. It still looks good..

Clear coat would probably discolor with age and heat soak.

Eastwood makes a clear hi temp that they say will not discolor... Used it on my valve covers three years ago and they still look new! No more cleaning to keep them looking good.

i used an SOS pad and it came out lookin real nice, along with turbo shield and valve covers!

I welded a plenum in one and had to paint it to hide the heat discoloration. Any high temp aluminum spray should work fine.

The color you need is "aluminum" or "cast Aluminum"
