WHT87T, i have presently a 4.1 Stage GN. that runs 9.70 in street trim and also 86T type that is a mid 10 second car. PTE built me a stage 2 twin turbo race GN that runs mid 8's which i sold last year, so please don't tell me about these turbo cars. If you are ever in Toronto bring your buick and on the roll in first gear i have no doubt you will be seeing my rear lights. Out of the hold it's a different story because the buicks generally hook hard, on the roll torque makes a big difference.

2003 Mustang Cobra
Sorry dude, but I don't see a Viper just walking a '03 Cobra. Those things love to breath and are a higher RPM motors anyhow. Granted they aren't the most aerodynamic, but stock to stock #'s are pretty darn close. Besides for what the Dodge cost it should pull away. 400 HP isn't a bad deal at all for $35K and a warranty! The main component is the driver anyhow, I've seen some pretty awesome cars run some aweful times!

Just because you OWN a S2 buick dosent mean you know anything about turbo cars. Sounds to me like you just have money. My 502 pontiac was faster in testing at big bend on radar than a Cobra with limiter off and exhaust. The 2+2 pulled 162 mph into a monster headwind and 167 the other way before I got out of it (I was only supposed to go 165). The Radar operator said the Cobra went 157 into the headwind and 162 with the tailwind. a 450 hp Viper or '02+ Z06 would be 5-10 mph faster than my pontiac.
my 2+2 is about 1 second and 5 mph slower than my T-type in the 1/4. The new cobras are fast 100-130, but above that, I'd put money on a viper or zo6.

2. I raced a black Cobra convert last night from a red light. I was behind him. I pulled up on his left. After my tires caught I was by him pretty quickly. Year of the Cobra? Beats me - they all look alike.
3. I looked at a bunch of '03 Cobras on the lot last nite. No back seat. No headroom. Suede seats - yikes - where's the Elvis mural? $1000 gaz guzzler tax - didn't know that. I think that car would be fun for, say, 5 minutes. And then you'd say, OMG, I have 59 more payments.

I work hard for what i got and make no apology for making a buck along the way maybe you should try rather than running your big mouth. I have had GN's for 1987 built more and sold than you can count because it's more than your tiny fingers. Anytime you want to run on the roll A-hole i would love to accomadate you.
I want to know one thing about the 2003 Cobras.. YES, they are fast as hell, YES, the price tag is far too much for me... How are these things going to stay together?? They are fine right now blasting down the track and all that, but the N/A 4.6's were having problems staying together because of heat. So lets put a supercharger on that with some manley rods and everything will be ok?? I can't see how they are going to stay together. And i remember reading on blue oval news about them halting the production due to premature engine failures a while back. I like them a lot but would be scared to spend 35K on a grenade.

The motors are built stronger than almost any gas motor coming out of detroit. About the only thing they have in common with a sohc 4.6 is the number 4.6.
I don't think they have many drawbacks for Drag Racing, but for open road racing, they do have drawbacks, though. High RPM's = high boost, but low throttle opening of high speed cruising = little fuel. high boost and little fuel = white hot EGT's and blown headgaskets.
I do work for a living, I fly morons around like you on vacation. I'm glad you got a couple of fast cars man. I'd rather hear some kill stories from the buick rather than you rave about your overpriced V10 on a buick forum. Save your kill stories for the viper forums. You remind me of random mustang owners who come on this forum just to talk trash. Have a nice day!
