tell ya what, those cobras are NO joke, but ive still never seen a mustang beat a tr. and i do QUITE a lot of racing. and if im not racing, im watching it. the mustangs are a tad more reliable, have more experts to turn to, and have a TON of parts available. but i still think its easier to make a tr faster.

Well, I've seen Mustangs beat TRs and I've seen TRs beat Mustangs... it's all about who has more stuff!

As for the weak Cobra rear ends, yes.. several have had problems. Ask me how many transmissions I went through in my TRs though!

Again, I love and have had both cars, So I'm not trying to start any sh#t!

Yeah right FORD BOY!!!!!!!!!! You are just proud becuase you got to do a burnout in front of 25 TR's!!!!!! How have you been??? It's been a while! I heard you were going to sell the Cobra, is that true??

I love any car that is fast, and is special in the fact that it will be collectable because it was something a little out of the ordinary, or the factory but some extra effort into assureing its place in automotive history, the cobra's are one badass ride NOBODY can deny that, but a buick is far more classy, has more room, a real trunk, pulls off the sleeper look very well , or can look badass, is technically doing more with less, where displacement/ power output is concerned, especially if you consider to the technology available when the cars were built to what we have now, like was said earlier you never know if its a 13 sec. stocker , or a 10 sec hell raiser.
go with a buick.

I own both. If you want a collector car, get the GN. If you just want something fun and fast get the Cobra.

How about turbocharging my VGC 93 5-spd coupe and getting a little of both? I dont know, its confusing, I enjoyed this post alot, thanx.

I actually had it up for sale last winter for a short time due to lack of overtime at work. (OT is the only way I net any REAL money!) Had a few interested parties, but luckily got the OT back before I actually sold it! I'm keeping it as long as I can! Cruised by your house a few times expecting to see you wrenching, but the garage doors are always closed!

Hey... did I see on another post you are expecting? Congrats! That is awesome!

I've had the pleasure of driving both. Totally different animals. Turbocharging the mustang make it fast yes, but, it still won't be a GN. There is an aura about that car that will make even a non automotive person take a second glance. I still vote for getting both. Like I said, two totally different animals. It honestly is 'going fast with class' in regards to the Buick. Lord willing, I'll have a GN one day.

I have at one time had an 86 GN and a 93 Mustang 50 in the same garage. It was nice to decide which to drive in the morning to work. Hmmm, stick or auto today?

I don't know about you guys. but when I get in my Buick and cruise out of the neighborhood with that whistle, it puts a smile on my face everytime before i get off my block. I go to alot of car shows. When people see the Buick with the parking lights on roll up into the burnout competition line, The croud response is awesome. Dont worry I had the same debate of cars because they are both awesome. I just figured the GN is the better investment.

Yeah I am pretty much waiting on DLS performance to get my heads done. I've been waiting for 7 months now:eek: ! Once the heads and cam are done, I'll be able to put the Stage 2 in the car. I've been working on the suspension, brakes and wheels right now. Pretty much trying to prepare for the baby now, we are having a boy in August! Noah Dean! I have been doing a TON of work to the house so next time you drive by, you may not recognize it!!!!! Been to any car shows lately?
